The HR Team with a proven track record
Organized by the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) and Hewitt Associates, the recent Human Resource Management (HRM) Awards saw Aitken Spence become the only conglomerate in Sri Lanka to receive an award.
As well as Aitken Spence PLC and Heritance Kandalama receiving Silver awards, Browns Beach Hotel and Ramada Resort, Kalutara were also shortlisted for their initiatives and practices in HRM. All companies were evaluated on key areas that included training development, hiring & orientation and performance recognition.
‘Awards such as these consolidate Aitken Spence’s reputation as a wonderful place for technical training,’ explains Rohan Pandithakorralage, Director of HR at Aitken Spence. ‘We have always placed great emphasize on professional development, introducing programmes and initiatives that are focused on empowering and strengthening our employees.’
Rohan is no stranger to receiving awards himself. At the Asia Pacific HRM Congress (APHRM) held in Mumbai earlier this year, he was awarded the prestigious HR Leadership Award for his contribution in HR towards the economic development of the country.
Licensed to conduct the globally-recognised Management Training Programme (MTP), Rohan has conducted the 64-hour programme in Sri Lanka for over 2000 managers across various sectors and industries.
